Two Coaching Positions Available

UNDER 17 & 19 HEAD COACH

The Beaumaris Football Club  (BFC) is seeking applications for the position of joint Head Coach of both its under 19s Premier Div. team in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) and its under 17s Div.1 team in the South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL).

This a new role designed to focus primarily on the important pathway transition from “Senior Junior” footballer to “Senior Footballer” for players and teams at levels in these age groups.

Working jointly with the current Head Senior Coach Guy “Bluey” McKenna and Director Of Football Brian “Choco” Royal the key focus for the successful applicant is to manage the on-field performance of the club’s U19 & U17 teams and the overall consistent and aligned development of the U19/17 playing list to achieve the overall purpose and objectives of BFC.

Prior experience in coaching is essential. You are expected to have attained appropriate

AFL Victoria coaching accreditation.

Principal duties include:

• Ensure effective player policies, team rules and code of conduct is followed to uphold

the reputation and aspirations of the Club.

• Provide game day coaching expertise and leadership. Note: U19’s Saturday games, U17’s Sunday games.

• Instruct and attend weekly training sessions of both teams.

• In conjunction with Senior Coach and Football Director ensure a consistent club coaching policy is applied focussed on the integration of the U19 & 17 playing groups with the senior playing list and ensuring there is a clear pathway for U19 players to play senior football. This applies not only to top end talent but also to players of all abilities transitioning through to firsts, seconds and thirds senior teams.

• Provide regular individual and group player feedback.

• Assist with player recruitment and retention.

•Assist structuring and sourcing the right support structures for these age groups

• Assist in the Player Support Program ( Sharknet ) as required.

•Form strong relationships with stakeholders such as Sandringham Dragons, school football programs, SMJFL, VAFA, local feeder clubs.

• Engage with the BFC community through attendance at relevant post-game

functions and fundraising events.

SENIOR WOMENS COACH

The Beaumaris Football Club  (BFC) is seeking applications for the position of Senior Womens Coach for both its teams in Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA).

Working jointly with the Director Of Football Brian “Choco” Royal the key focus for the successful applicant is to manage the on-field performance of the club’s Senior Womens team and the overall development of the playing list to achieve the overall purpose and objectives of BFC.

Prior experience in coaching is essential. You are expected to have attained appropriate

AFL Victoria coaching accreditation.

Principal duties include:

• Ensure effective player policies, team culture, team rules and code of conduct is followed to uphold the reputation and aspirations of the Club.

• Provide game day coaching expertise and leadership.

• Instruct and attend weekly training sessions with and emphasis on the basic fundamental skills.

• In conjunction with the Football Director ensure a consistent club coaching policy is applied focussed on the integration of the U18 playing groups with the senior playing list and ensuring there is a clear pathway for U18 players to play senior football. This applies not only to top end talent but also to players of all abilities transitioning through to firsts and seconds teams.

• Provide regular individual and group player feedback.
