Club Favourite Caps Off a Great Year

Club favourite caps off a great year with a B&F in a Premiership winning season.

There's no better achievment in sport than to win a B&F in a Premiership season and that's what Mick Millar was able to achieve this past season for the BFC Reserves.

Mick is no stranger to success - throughout his time as a player at the BFC he has chalked up some enviable stats.
Mick started at the club in the the U10s and found his way into a team that from the U11s to U17s won 5 premierships. That group were coached by legendary Junior coaches Danny Kelly and Lindsay Bull and included a number of gun players, most notably 3 time AFL premiership winner Jack Gunston.

Mick took that form into his Senior years winning Premierships in 2010, 2016 and 2018.

Due to work committments in 2017, Mick played for the Manunda Hawks in the AFL Cairns League. In an aboriginal dominated team, Mick helped steer the Hawks into the Grand Final, losing a close one.

Season 2018 started late for Mick coming back from the far North, but he displayed all his skills as a goal scoring small forward in a team that dominated the competition. Mick played an outstanding game in the premiership win over Uni Blacks.

2018 was also an especially good year for Mick, not only as a Premiership/B&F winner, Mick also chalked up 100 Senior games and won the Players Player award as well.

What a season for one of the club's most popular players, known affectionately as Frofhy.

Congratulations Mick on a tremendous year!
