David Bartlett Appointed New Under 19s Coach

Appointment of Under 19 Head coach and Development Academy Manager – David Bartlett

The Beaumaris Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of David Bartlett as the new Under 19’s Head Coach and Development Academy Manager.

David will coach the Under 19’s Premier team in season 2018 and will also work closely with our senior coaches and Under 16 and Under 17 coaches to provide an environment where all players aged 16-21 can thrive on and off the field.

Simon Crompton will continue as Under 19’s Reserves Coach and Stu Rankine will return as the team runner.

David is married to Tiffany and has three children: Riley, Chloe and Maggie.

David played his juniors at Hampton Rovers and also at Kingsley in WA.  His senior career started at Highett Football Club. He was the Captain of Highett in 1999 and 2000 and a Premiership player in 1996. He has been playing Masters football at Parkdale for the last 10 years and was a Premiership player in 2016. In 2017 he performed assistant coaching duties.

David’s experience goes way beyond football where his personal coaching knowledge across life, fitness and football has motivated individuals and teams for many years.

David has owned his own Personal Training and Fitness business for 17 years. He is a leader and coach, with significant expertise in understanding the needs of people and providing programs, coaching, motivation and goal setting to allow them to continually develop in terms of fitness and general wellbeing.

David was thrilled with his new role, “I am really looking forward to working with our young men and women in creating a culture and environment that will make them see the Sharks as their destination club, where they can not only develop their football, but also learn more about how to look after themselves and each other and strive to achieve personal and team goals”.

Club President Terry Lucas was very upbeat about David’s appointment:  “David has a strong football pedigree and is a genuine leader of people. What stood out for me was his emphasis on developing our younger people on and off the field. Like me and others, he wants people to see Beaumaris as their destination club.  A place where our young want to come, not just for their football, but for the things we offer off the field. I have no doubt David’s extensive experience in fitness and life coaching will provide our 16-21 year olds with a different perspective and encourage them to get the best out of themselves”.

We welcome David to the Beaumaris Football Club.
