Prior to the Seniors game against St Bedes, the club hosted a sell-out lunch at which former past President John Murton was inducted as a ‘Life Member’ of the Beaumaris Football Club for his incredible service to the club over an extended period, including a successful term as Club President, which included a Seniors and a Reserves premiership in 2016.
John joins his wife Vanessa as the first husband and wife to be joint Life Members.
John’s roles and achievements at the club are many and varied and there is no one more deserving of the honour than John.
John was inducted by Club President Terry Lucas and given his Life Members badge by Life Member and Committeeman Ian Millar. (the full Induction speech by President Lucas will be posted to our website soon)
