There was a tremendous display of camaraderie today in the U16 Girls game against Cheltenham JFC.
Midway through the 3rd Qtr one of our girls, Greta Hawkins, went down with a serious injury. While she was receiving medical treatment and waiting for an ambulance, the girls of both teams got together in a circle as a show of respect essentially for a fellow player who was prone on the ground.
It was a special moment. The Chelt girls who were behind on the scoreboard at the time understood the situation.
In these moments it's not about winning or losing - it's showing respect for team mates and opposing players.
Well done girls from both teams.
