Seniors Win Important Game in a Mud Slide

Many of the old timers who have come to Oak St for 50 plus years hadn't seen the amount of water on the ground that they witnessed today during the Reserves and Seniors game. At one stage the ground was a lake during the Reserves game.

Importantly, the Seniors had a good win against Monash Uni to keep our finals hopes alive.

Final Scores: BFC 10.5-65 def Monash Uni 5.4-34

Our best player was James Taylor who came through our U19s program and worked his way into the Senior side through hard work. His work across half-back was outstanding, dealing with the conditions better than most, intercepting the ball and creating chances for the mids and forwards. A super effort!

The other standout player was Jak Nardino who has an amazing ability to kick important goals and he did today.

Other good players included Damien Johns, Lach Tedde, Riley Virtue & Oscar McMaster.

Our next game is away to Old Haileybury at Princes Park in Caulfield.

Pictured here with the Seniors is U10s player Luke Young who was invited into the inner sanctum to experience a day with the Seniors. Luke was accompanied by his grand mother and parents. The big thrill for Luke was to sing the victory song in the huddle with former outstanding Junior Corey Watts, who played in his first win for the Seniors.
