Volunteers Needed for 'Dare to Hope' match

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

On Monday the third ‘Dare to Home’ match will take place at the MCG with Hawthorn taking on Geelong.

Dare to Hope is the legacy of the late Hawthorn Football Club Premiership Player and Norm Smith Medalist, Paul Dear and has been set up to help improve awareness and fund research for innovative treatments to better treat pancreatic cancer.

Paul was a long time volunteer at the BFC, passing on his great football knowledge to so many of our Junior players.

‘Dare to Hope’ was set up by Cherie Dear and her family in memory of Paul who died of Pancreatic cancer in 2022.

If you’d like to do your part to assist, we need volunteers to help with the ‘Dare to Hope’ match on Monday.

We need some strong people to lift 100 x 18kg boxes into a van to drop around the MCG. For your efforts you’ll get a GA admission ticket to the game.

We also need volunteers later on, (about 2pm or 2.30pm) to hand out clap banners. Those people will also get a GA ticket to stay for the game.

Please contact Shelley Joughin – 0421 051 889, if you like to help Cherie and the family.
