It’ll be a big round of footy for our Senior Teams when we see all seven teams playing for the first time across 3 days. Very exciting.
The Senior Mens and Reserves head out to Waverley Oval for a tough away game against traditional rivals De La Salle. It’s always a great match up and De La play their home ground better that just about any team. This is an exciting time for the club with a Seniors side that is built on a solid combination of youth and experience.
The Youth Reserves come off a good win last week to play on Sunday against Ajax at Waverley Oval in Malvern (Thirds Division 2 competition). Good luck to Danny and his team.
On Saturday at home, we’ll have two Women’s teams take the field. This is an exciting development for the club with the Prem B Reserves team being showcased in the 4:45 evening slot. Best of luck to both teams and Paul Zahra coaching his first Senior game for the Reserves after a very successful career in the Juniors.
Both U19s teams have tough games to contend with. The Prem team face a red hot Caulfield G’s, while the Div 4 boys play the perennially good St Kevins, the latter playing at home on Friday night commencing at 7pm. This coincides with the Juniors family night, so there’ll be a good crowd there, which will be nice as most of these boys were playing Junior footy last year.
