Senior Teams Deliver 4 from 4

On Saturday we had 4 Senior teams in action and finished the day with 4 great wins, culminating with the Womens Team forging a late win over arch rivals Old Brighton at Oak St in the twilight game. It was gripping stuff and no one was more prouder of the girls post match than President Terry Lucas who delivered an uplifting victory speech in the rooms.

The Seniors and Reserves both had convincing wins over Ajax. The Reserves featured a number of top players returning from injury including Tom Dean, Steve Milne and Tim Jeans, along with a welcome return to footy for multiple premiership player Will Murton.
Tim Cumming pressed his claims for promotion to the top grade with a 5 goal best on ground performance. Tim was closely followed by the very consistent Mick Millar.

In the Seniors Ben McLean, Scott Gower and their back six partners put on a defensive masterclass limiting Ajax to just the 3 goals for the game. Around the ground Jonno Nash was at his brilliant best, kicking a memorable running goal in the last Qtr. Up forward Joel Cusack was unstoppable bagging 4 goals and catching everything that came his way.

But the most pleasing result on Saturday was that of the U19s Prem Reserves who pulled off their first win of the season at St Kevins. This team has never given up all season and credit to coach Simon Crompton for keeping the flame alive. Well done to every player in that team for your persistence and resilience.

Saturday also featured boys from our U9's and 10's who were pre match guests of the Senior teams. They joined in the victory celebrations for all three teams playing at Oak St and had a tremendous day. Their smiles said it all.click here for all the photos:
