In recent weeks we have been able to have our younger players be part of a Senior match day experience. This has been embraced by boys in our U9s & U10s especially. Even better when the young Sharks get to share in the Club's victory song with the Senior players.
So on Saturday it was the girls turn. We had a large contingent of girls from our Under 12s spend pre and post match time with our Senior Womens team.
Prior to the match, which was a twilight game, the girls joined in with the warm up kick to kick session, were given a 'rev up' from captain Simone Payton and ran out with the big girls. Post match it was celebration time as the club song rang out with full gusto after the Seniors team's great victory over Hampton FC.
As a consequence of that win the Senior girls finish the home & away season on top of the ladder and go into finals full of confidence.
They played inspired footy, which would have impressed their younger counterparts.
