A weekend full of events to commemorate and celebrate the lives of Holly Bowles and Bianca Jones went extremely well and was a credit to everyone involved in the planning and execution of the weekend’s activities. The two Senior Women’s teams played hard-fought and competitive matches against Fitzroy and both went down narrowly, but the spirit and camaraderie shown by all four teams in front of a very large crowd was impressive.
The Sharks Under 18 Girls’ Teams then repeated the exercise on the Sunday with an ultra-impressive performance from the Div 1 team that is undefeated and on top of the ladder.
There was also a very successful luncheon held at the Sandy Yacht club which was a sold out event and finished off the weekend’s activities.
After the matches there was a packed house upstairs for the Presentation of the Inaugural ‘Shining Bright’ Medallions won by Bridget Scott and Liv Stockdale with the ceremony involving Mark and Michelle Jones and Shaun and Sam Bowles with other family members in attendance.
