Major Beauy Sharks’ Fundraiser This Saturday
$50 Reverse Draw Raffle - $10,000 First Prize
The Reverse Draw Raffle has been a feature of the BFC’s fundraising calendar since the first one was held in 1976 at a Sunday BBQ in a Beaumaris backyard in 1976. First prize then was $1000 and it was a very innovative event at the time, probably one of Melbourne’s first, and it has grown over the years to be our single most important fundraising event.
Recently retired Skipper, Matt Petering, is working hard to get this one going and he asks all of his fellow Past Players & Officials group to get on board and buy a ticket or two this week to help raise some much-needed funds that help put our 7 Senior & 31 Junior teams on the park each week.
The easiest way to do this is to just transfer an amount to the Bank Account detailed below and include your phone number as well so that a ticket number can be sent back. Otherwise come down to Oak Street on Saturday for the Senior games and buy a ticket and then watch the draw which will begin at around 5.30pm and conclude just after 7.30pm when the last ten tickets will be drawn out.
