Part Time Bar Operations people required – Beaumaris Football Club

The Beaumaris Football Club (“BFC”) is seeking a person (or people in a joint shared role) to fill the position of Bar Operations Supervisor(s) for the upcoming football season which runs from April 1 to September 30 (the role may extend into cricket season). A Joint role is certainly acceptable to the BFC as it allows flexibility in terms of weekly/weekend availability and illness.

Specific duties

  • Coordinating a bar roster including the use of volunteers
  • Ensuring bar is appropriately stocked including submitting timely purchase orders with the local IGAS and other suppliers
  • Liasing with the BFC Committee regarding event planning and staffing
  • Working Saturdays form 5pm – 11.30pm including closing up
  • Working Sunday’s from 5pm – 9pm including closing up
  • Working Friday’s from 5pm – 10pm including closing
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and supervision (volunteer or otherwise) for all operational times.

Specific hours

  • We anticipate the role requiring approximately 30 hours per week. As stated above this can be a shared role.
  • It is a requirement of the position that Saturday’s 5pm – 11.30pm be worked
  • All other hours are flexible although preference will be given to a candidate that can commit to regular Thursday and Friday evening attendance from 5-10pm.

Attributes Required

The successful candidate(s) will need to demonstrate :

  • Excellent people skills with a focus on customer service and leadership;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • An ability to be committed, punctual and reliable;
  • Trustworthiness as the handling of cash is part of the role;
  • Bar Operational experience would be helpful but is not a necessity;

Remuneration

Remuneration is negotiable and will be commensurate with the successful candidate(s) experience
