All Four Senior Teams Remain Undefeated after 3 rounds.
The three Mens teams produced excellent wins, the thirds producing the goods at home in the prime 2pm slot.
The Under19s Reserves and the Thirds commemorated Anzac Day with the playing of the Last Post and a recitation of the Ode prior to both games at Oak St.
The Seniors and Reserves were away to Mazenod and chalked up decisive wins. The Reserves set the scene with an 82 point victory in summer like conditions at Central Reserve Oval. Paving the way was Matt Williams with another best on ground performance, which must put him in contention for promotion to the Seniors. Josh Trew returned to the kind of form that saw him shine for the Dragons for the past 2 years. Will Mattingley used his speed to run away from opponents while Damien Johns was solid in front of goals with 3 majors. Other best players included Dylan Gabron-Uhe, Harry Edwards, Lach Tedde, Matt Lucas and Sean Coote.

The Seniors maintained their good form, turning it on in the 3rd Qtr with a 7 goal blitz to run away from Mazenod and record a 69 point win, the midfield setting up the victory with a dominant performance.
Jono Nash who has returned to the club after an extended break due to work and study, put in a tremendous all round game, playing out of the midfield in a role that resembled that of a 'ruck rover' following ruck man Anthony Carroll around the ground and feeding the forwards with quality disposals. Captain Matt Petering was also brilliant, his courage in the contests unparalleled. Will Edmonds, Joel Di Natale and Rob Cathcart completed a midfield group that controlled the game.
Up forward Joel Cusack was unbeatable in the air and kicked 3 good goals, as did Edmonds and Max Williams who returned to the side playing in the forwards.
Strong in defence was Lewis Diggins, who was dominant across half back while Will Gillespie continued his great form this season with decisive marks and spoils on the last line of defence.

Despite playing out a draw yesterday against Old Brighton the Seniors Womens team are yet to be defeated, but missed a great chance to come away with a win. It was disappointing to lose a 14 point lead with only 8 minutes left on the clock, but the girls will learn from the experience and ‘icing’ the game will no doubt be a discussion point at training this week.
