Covid Lockdown Update

Message from Club President – Terry Lucas

Hi Sharks

Covid Lockdown Update

No doubt you are all aware of the seven day lockdown announced today, effective from 11.59pm tonight.

As a club, we take the health and safety of our players and members and the wider community very seriously. We also have always tried to lead from the front in terms of social and moral responsibilities.

As per the government directive, there will be no games or training until the lockdown is officially over and the club upstairs will be closed, at this stage, until next Friday.

Now is the time to focus on the health and safety of you and your loved ones. We will be back bigger and better than ever. Games can be re-scheduled, as can lunches, dinners and events. But our health is again at risk, so we must look out for and after each other.

Our players and officials, the committee and all our parents and supporters showed this year that we can recover from a Covid crisis - so many people have been inspirational in the way they have helped build an outstanding culture and morale at our club this year. We have made significant steps forward.

Therefore, I have no doubt, when this lockdown is finished, we won’t have lost a stride in our goal to be a great and successful club on and off the field in 2021 and beyond. But for now, be healthy and safe, look out for each other and we will see you all in a week or so.

Fins Up,

Tez
