A lot happened across the Round 12 matches for our Senior teams last weekend.
It kicked off on Friday night for our Thirds against Old Trinity. This game was special because it marked the return to footy for Lachlan ‘Banga’ Francis after 5 years fighting cancer.
Although the result didn’t go our way, it was a tightly fought contest played in wet and windy conditions. At the end of the game the Old Trinity team lined up to help cheer Banga off the ground. It was a great show of sportsmanship by the Trinity guys.
Later on the Trinity team joined us upstairs for sandwiches and a drink. Club President Terry Lucas acknowledged the significance of the occasion and thanked the Old Trinity team.
Well done Banga on your resolve and courage!
