Strong Win by U13 Boys at Highett

Down at Highett our U13 Sharks were up against the Bentleigh Highett Demon Dogs.

Taking advantage of a strong down field diagonal wind in the 1st and 3rd Qtrs, the boys were never headed kicking 4:3 and 5:3 respectively in those Qtrs. It was good kicking with the wind and the guys took the good advice from the coaches re their target points.

Good defending in the other Qtrs kept the opposition scoring to a minimum.

Max Bedford Brown kicked 5 goals and took a tremendous mark in the final Qtr, which resulted in one of those goals. Nick Williams, Harvey Kenny and Arki Butler all kicked two goals.

Coach Lachie Oakley is doing a good job with this team and is ably supported by assistant coach, Chris Wells. They sit 2nd on the ladder and if they continue with good form like they displayed on Sunday, they'll certainly be playing finals footy.

Final Score: Bentleigh Highett 5.4-34 - Beaumaris Sharks 13.12-90
