Nadia turns back the clock

Nards turns back the clock with a match winning performance.

It was one of the most awe inspiring last quarters you’d hope to see, but that’s what former Club Champion Nadia Eldred delivered in the 4th quarter to ensure victory for the Senior Womens team on Saturday.

Playing at Centre-Half Back Nadia was impassable, shutting down a flow of attacking moves by a determined Old Haileybury team with her intercept marking. One of her powerful kicks propelled the ball into the forward line to enable Full Forward Sam McLean to swoop on the ball and soccer it through for the match winning goal.

But this was tough game with no easy possessions. The contests were intense all game and neither side gave an inch.

Simone Marinelli kicked two goals and was a live-wire all game. Rosie Byrne, Steph Warmuz, Sarah Collins, captain Sam Baisas, vice captain Milly Bartlem and Caley Ryan all played inspired games.

Keep it going girls!
