There was good crowd on hand to watch the U14s Div 1 Boys game against East Sandy at Jack Barker today.
Certainly no one left disappointed – it was a tremendous game, which came down to the wire. With minutes to go there was only 2 points in it after the Zebbies had made a spirited comeback in the last Qtr. A steadying goal by Max Bedford Brown sealed the win.
The win puts the boys in 4th place on the ladder in one of the League’s toughest divisions.
This was a good hard game played by two evenly matched teams – no doubt a portent of things to come in the ensuing months.
Well done to coach Mark Butler and his boys. This just might be one of those wins that will count for a lot.
Final scores: BFC 7.4-46 – East Sandringham 5.8-38
