Senior Women Overcome Slow Start to Secure 14th Straight Win
Maybe it was nerves or excellent pressure from Therry Penola, or both, but our girls looked out of sorts for the first 2 quarters of this final home & away game kicking only 2 goals up to that point.
The final quarter saw the team click into gear and kick 4 unanswered goals to run out good winners.
Sam McLean kicked 4 goals to bring her tally for the season to 40.
Final score: BFC 6.5-41 - Therry Penola 1.1-7
This Saturday kicks off finals for the girls who play Old Haileybury at Oak St @ 4:45pm in the Women's Div 1 Semi-Final 2. We urge as many as possible to get down to the club and cheer on the girl’s final game at home for the season.
Haileybury are a very good tough side and this game promises to be a ripper.
