When Emily Ensor runs out onto King George Oval on Sunday with her U12 Girls Great Whites team mates for their Grand Final against St Peters, there'll be no one more prouder that her Dad, Mark.
Mark, or Dougie as he's known by most at the BFC, is a Club Champion. He is the BFC’s most capped Senior Firsts player (284 games). He also is the first BFC player to reach 300 VAFA games and is a former VAFA Representative player.
He is still playing great footy in our Senior Reserves team. But all that will pale on Sunday as Dougie sits nervously through his daughter's first Grand Final.
The physical similarity is striking, more importantly, so is the footballing ability.
To Emily, Coach Steve Connolly and the U12 Great Whites - GOOD LUCK on Sunday.
Game starts @ 1.30pm
