Jak Nardino Wins League B&F

to Jak Nardino who was announced today as the winner of the VAFA award for ‘Best & Fairest’ player in the Premier B Competition.

This is a tremendous achievement for Jak who commits so much to his footy.

Jak is dedicated to fitness and hard work, and it has paid off because there is no more exciting player to watch than Jak Nardino.

A delighted Club President, Terry Lucas explained, “We were so determined to keep Jak at the Club when it looked as though he was headed overseas last year. I coached Jak when he was in the Under 19s and back then you could see the raw talent he possessed – blinding speed with an uncanny ability to break tackles. No one could be prouder than I. This is a meritorious and celebrated award at the BFC. Jak’s photo will take pride of place amongst the other League B&F winners. What a tremendous achievement! Well done Jak, you deserved this.”

Jak has played all his Senior level footy at the BFC which now numbers 82 games for 69 goals. As a Junior, Jak had a stellar career at several clubs and played representative football at 14, 15 and 18. Jak played his first BFC Senior game after he had just turned 17 years old, the same day Adam Schneider played his first game for the club back in 2016. Later that season Jak was a standout, kicking 3 goals in the BFC U19s Premier Division Grand Final team that narrowly lost to St Kevins.

Since then, Jak has been a mainstay of the Senior Mens team. Then is nothing more exhilarating than seeing Jak scoop up the ball across half-back and run towards the forward 50 before launching a towering shot at goals. He plays mostly as a half back flanker, but is equally at home on a wing or in the middle. Doesn’t matter where Jak plays, he will give you his all.

Brilliant work Jak Nardino – 2022 VAFA Premier B Best & Fairest
