Four Girls selected to VAFA team of the year

Congratulations to the four girls from our Seniors Women’s team who were selected in the VAFA 2022 Division 1 Women’s Team of the Year announced this week.

They are Caley Ryan, Taylah Tysoe, Samantha McLean and our captain Sam Baisas. Those girls form part of a 22 person team selected by VAFA media, the coaches analysis and the umpires. In addition, our coach Darryl Behrendorff was nominated as the team’s coach.

It’s a tremendous honour to be selected, particularly in a premiership winning season. Sam McLean was also the League’s leading goal kicker with 42 goals.

Well done to Caley, Taylah, Samantha, Sam and Daz on your selections.

Go Sharks!
