Four New Signings

Four Exciting New Recruits and Returning Players.

This week incoming Head Coach Josh Bourke announced four new player signings for 2023. They are Tomo Owens, Harry Houlahan, Josh Gorman and Joe Nowell.

Tomo, Harry and Josh will be returning to the club, while Joe is new to the club.

Tomo is the brother of Kai and Mitch (St Kilda) and is currently training with the Sandringham VFL team, but will play with the Sharks when available. Tomo is a former premiership winning BFC junior, which includes 2018 U17 Div 1 Grand Final.

Similarly, Joe comes through the Dragons and Sandy VFL. Standing over 200cm, Joe will be a key position asset next year. (pictured here with Assistant Coach Nick Moodie)

Harry Houlahan returns after taking a year off. Harry was a BFC regular in the Seniors in the 2019 and 2021 seasons. Prior to that, Harry was a long serving Junior winning the 2013 U13 Div 1 premiership coached by Terry Lucas. Along the journey, Harry picked up several ‘Best Player’ awards and is highly regarded by the coaching group.

Josh Gorman is another returnee. Josh was regular in the BFC Seniors in 2018 and 2019 after also having an outstanding junior career at the BFC. Josh was the League Best & Fairest in his premiership winning season with the 2016 BFC U17 Div 1 team.

These announcements will further strengthen our playing stocks for what shapes as an exciting 2023 season.

Go Sharks!
