A great result for the club on Saturday with all six Senior teams victorious.
After quarter time the Senior Mens team proved too strong for Williamstown CYMS, Ben Andrews proving to be a handful for the opposition in the forward line kicking 4 goals, Jak Nardino chimed in with 3 goals utilising his elusiveness and speed, Chopper Heath was brilliant in the ruck, Riley Virtue who played a more forward role out of midfield also kicked 3 goals as did Will Skinner, who like Ben Andrews, is another back to come into the forward line. Overall, a solid team effort.
Special mention to Nic Plevritis, up from the U19s, who played his debut game for the Senior Mens. Good work Nic, a well-deserved achievement. (pictured here with his Mum Kylie, Dad Bill and sister Elke)
Also, to Senior Women's players Sam Baisas and Jemima Savage who played their 50th Senior games on Saturday against Old Haileybury, the girls going on to win a hard-fought game in slippery conditions at Princes Park.
The Reserves and Thirds bounced back after losses the previous week. The Thirds are 3 & 1 for the season and are yet to play a game at home. Tremendous commitment by those guys, as well as the coaches and support crew.
Both U19s teams scored good wins and remain unbeaten for the season. Terrific stuff. Both teams will be tested in the forthcoming weeks with some tough games coming up.
Well done to all six teams. Keep up the great work.
