Congratulations to Thirds stalwart Fraser Johns who chalked up his 100th Senior game on Friday night against De La Salle, which the boys celebrated with a good win.
Fraser hasn’t spent all his time in the Thirds, he began his Senior section footy in the U19s Premier team in 2014. In recent years he has been a regular in the Thirds, coming 3rd in last year’s B&F.
Fraser started his career at the BFC in the U9s back in 2004. In all, he played 143 Junior games for the club and 243 total games for the Beaumaris Football Club. An outstanding achievement.
His brother Damien plays in the Seniors and on Friday shared the occasion with his brother.
Thirds Coach Mark Francis summed up Fraser by saying, “Fraser is as determined a player as anyone I’ve coached, he hates to lose. He’s a natural leader and a fierce competitor. Whether he’s playing on the ball or across half back, he’ll give you everything. Plus, he’s a beautiful left foot kick. Congratulations Fraser on your 100 Senior games.”
Well done Fraser, a great BFC Clubman.
Fraser is pictured here with his parents, his brother Damien holding the banner and his Thirds coaches, Mark Francis and Richard Evans. Plus, we dragged out an old pic of Fraser in 2016 when he was playing in the U19s.
Final score: BFC 11.19-85 - De La Salle 3.6-24
