Full Time - Round 10

It was another mixed round for our Senior teams – 3 wins and 3 losses.

The Seniors and the Reserves suffered disappointing losses at Williamstown, while the U19 Div 3 team performed really well against the ladder leaders Old Ivanhoe, on equal terms at ¾ qtr time, before going down narrowly.

The Seniors were missing six players from the Round 4 fixture at home against Williamstown, which was a result in reverse of Saturdays outcome, for both the Seniors and Reserves. No doubt the return of important injured players will benefit the Seniors and as a flow on, the Reserves as well.

Playing at home on Saturday were the Senior Women and the U19s Div 1 teams and both recorded good wins. After a slow start, the Women found their rhythm in the 2nd Qtr to kick six unanswered goals. From there, the girls stormed home for a big win. Congrats to Ella Gough who played her first Senior game, pictured here with Coach Behrendorff and Mum Megan after the game.

The U19s Div 1 team held out a fast-finishing Old Trinity to record a good win against the 2nd placed team on the ladder. This game had the full weather spectrum in it - cold, strong winds, torrential rain and sunny skies. In the end, this exciting encounter went our way by 12 points.

On Sunday, the 3rds maintained their good form with a 26 point win against Ajax. The win ensures the guys remain on top of the ladder in a competition where there’s little between all teams.

Round 11 is the ‘Dare to Hope’ round, an initiative to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.
