Volunteering to help out around a footy club, or any sporting or community club, is always a rewarding experience and is certainly much appreciated by those in charge.
For many years now Linda Francis has been doing goal umpiring for our Juniors girls. On Sunday after 100 games and at the age of 77 Linda is hanging up the flags. She has been the U15 Div 1 Girls goal umpire of choice and is Coach Nat Pribil’s Mum and Chiara Pribil’s Grandmother. (Chiara plays midfield in the team)
The girls in the team affectionately call her Nan and they made sure Nan had a lot of work to do in her last game, kicking 8.12 to score a comprehensive win over Prahran.
On Sunday, the girls paid special tribute to Nan in appreciation of her support. She is also pictured here with the team and next to her Daughter Nat and Granddaughters Chiara and Sascha.
