Congratulations to our BFC Juniors on a fabulous season. It’s been full of spectacular on field action, some outstanding achievements, collectively and individually and great camaraderie on and off the field.
Firstly, let’s recognise the 8 teams in our U8s, 9s & 10s. It’s tremendous to see the spirit these young players show every time their put on their Sharks jumper. For many parents this was their first experience of Sunday morning footy and of course, ‘Shark of the Month’ and the lifelong friendships made with other parents forged on those Sunday mornings and Sunday nights.
For those teams U11s and up, there is the opportunity to play in the SMJFL finals series. This year we had 19 teams out of a possible 25 make it to finals. A tremendous achievement.
Of those 19 teams, 10 made it through to the Grand Final resulting in 5 Premierships, 4 at Division 1 level. Brilliant!
Congratulations to ALL the players, the Coaches, the Team Managers, the Coaching Co-ordinators, the Age Group Co-ordinators, the volunteers and the hard-working Junior Committee lead by Ben Conrad, Fiona Love, Dave Hickey and Christine Davidson. It’s been a wonderful season.
