Vale Jan Nicholson
It is with great sadness that we pass on the news that Jan Nicholson recently lost her battle with cancer.
Jan was the wife of our Club stalwart, historian and former president Ron Nicholson and mother of David, Michelle and Deb.
Jan was a kind and generous person who always had a smile on her face. She was a great support for Ron and offered positivity and encouragement to all that knew her, particularly her family.
We would like to pass on our condolences to Ron and the immediate and extended families and wish them strength in this difficult time.
Club President Nick Heath added his sympathies, “On behalf of the whole club I’d like to pass on my sincere condolences to one of our club foundation 1963 “originals” and club legend Ron Nicholson and his family on the recent passing of his wife Jan. Jan was also a life-long Shark being the mother and ardent supporter of former Sharks player David Speakman. I’m sure the whole Sharks family will rally around Ron and his family at this sad time.”
The funeral will be held on Tuesday 21st November at 2pm at St Michael's Beaumaris, 28 Dalgety Rd, followed by a celebration of her life at the Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron.
