Congratulations Calsher Dear AFL Rising Star Nominee - Round 23
This time last year Calsher was wooing small crowds at Banksia Reserve with his elite marking and goal kicking skills playing in our U19s Div 1 team.
These days he is doing it at a whole new different level, to 60,000 plus fans at the MCG for the Hawthorn Footy Club, his late Dad's club.
We cannot be more in awe and more proud of what he's achieved in such a short time. Then again we had an idea this was on the cards....
And in typical Calsher fashion, he was down at St Bedes on Saturday in support of his brother Nate who was playing in our Senior team. At half time some young kids recognised him and all of a sudden he's playing kick to kick with these kids. That's Calsh.
Then next day he kicks 3 goals in front of a huge crowd at the MCG. Come Monday he's nominated for an AFL Rising Star Award.
Reckon his Dad would be proud!
