Committed in 2025
In the 7th of our Committed series, we focus on one of the great Shark families – The Tedde family – namely Lachlan, Campbell & Sienna.
Lachlan, the oldest sibling, started with the club back in 2008, in the U11s. In total he has played 238 games for the club, including 138 at Senior level.
In 2018, Lach was a key member of the Premier B Reserves Grand Final winning team.
This year, Lach has alternated between the Seniors and Reserves, always giving his all as a strong marking key defender.
At 27 years, Lachlan Tedde still has many more seasons of Sharks footy to look forward to.
Campbell Tedde recently played his 100th Senior game, which form part of an extraordinary 285 games for the club, including 185 Junior games.
Like his brother, Campbell started in 2008 in the U9s and finished his junior career in 2016 with a coveted U17 Div 1 Premiership.
Throughout his career, Campbell has been best described as an outstanding utility player, utilising his speed to get the best out of his game, where the wide expanses of Banksia Reserve give him an important edge.
Always a great team player, Campbell has also been an outstanding club man and a character around the club.
It feels like Sienna Tedde has been at the BFC for a long time and she has. Sienna was part of the very first BFC U12 Girls team back in 2013. Then as a 13 year old in 2014, she was playing in the U16 Girls. In 2015, when an U15 Girls comp was introduced, Sienna took her place in that team and was rewarded with VIC Metro selection that year.
In 2018 Sienna started playing Senior footy and has been a staple in the Women’s Seniors ever since and is a regular award winner on Best & Fairest night.
In 2022 Sienna was part of the inaugural BFC Senior Women’s Premiership team.
Sienna plays mostly in the ruck these days, but can also hold down a key position when not on ball. She has had a tremendous 2024 season and as Senior team Vice Captain is well respected amongst her peers.
To complete the Tedde team commitment, family patriarch Walter will continue in his role as club Secretary in 2025.
Well done and thank you to the Tedde family.
Go Sharks!
