We're Looking for coaches

The Beaumaris Football Club (BFC) is seeking expressions of interest for the following positions in 2025 :


• Premier B Women’s Senior Coach
• Premier B Women’s Reserves Coach
• Women’s Assistant Coaches


In 2024, the Senior arm of the Beaumaris Football Club fielded six teams in VAFA competition, including 2 Men’s (Premier B, Premier B Reserves); 2 Women’s teams (Premier B, Premier B Reserves) and 2 Under 19s (Premier, Division 4).
Additionally, our Junior affiliate competes in the South Metro Junior Football league (SMJFL) and was comprised of 31 Teams (20 Boys and 11 Girls), ranging from Under 8s up to Under 18.
The Beaumaris Football Club mantra is “Once a Shark, Always a Shark” and we espouse a ‘one club’ culture.
We are looking for coaches who are, first and foremost, of good character and, secondly can make a significant and positive contribution to our club, both on and off the field. All of our coaches are expected to work collaboratively with other coaches, players, committee, players and members in the best interests of our club.

Applications will be assessed on merit and a short list determined, whereby applicants will be invited to interview by a panel.
The successful candidates will receive ongoing support for them to achieve, succeed and grow both individually and as part of a wider group/coaching panel.

The successful candidates will possess, or are willing to develop further, the following skills and attributes:
• A strong knowledge and understanding of the game;
• An ability to develop players’ skills and fitness;
• A collegial and collaborative attitude mindset;
• The ability to implement a cohesive and structured game plan;
• Strong communication skills - both on and off the field;
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities;
• A capacity to build and maintain professional relationships with players, and the wider club.

The primary duties of the coaches are as follows:
• Coaching & Team Selection: Setting and overseeing training and game day standards, and working with other club coaches to make and communicate selection decisions.
• Player & Team Development: Working with individuals and groups to prepare players for competitive football.
• Strategy: Working closely with the coaching group to implement a consistent club strategy and game plan.
• Culture: Promotion and adherence of the club’s values; working with the club committee to prioritise player welfare and the maintenance of club standards.


The Beaumaris Football Club is open to consider playing, non-playing and co-coaching applications for all role(s). Remuneration to be negotiated.
